Hello and welcome to 5th Stalybridge Scout Group.
We welcome all Boys and Girls from 6 to 14 years of age.
all religions are welcome.
We do not belong to a church as other Groups do, but we ask the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to
parade 2 times a year.
Once on St Georges day where all Scouts re affirm their promise, as St George is the patron saint of Scouting.
Once on Remembrance day where we pay our respects to those lost in conflict.
Our Scout group is one of the oldest in the district, it started in 1911, the building that we are in was donated to the group in 1946 by the Buckley family, their son was a Scout at 5th and killed in WW2.
